A Message from Have A Chance's President:
In life, we also face adversity. It's what makes the good times all the more special.
Have A Chance was founded by my parents, Arlene and Dennis Roth, after my brother's diagnosis of a glioblastoma multiform, one of the deadliest, most aggressive forms of brain tumors. Needless to say, this news rocked our family in ways we could never have expected. The "Message from the Founder" on the Have A Chance website relays the devastation that my parents felt at the time.
However, we quickly realized you cannot sit around and wait for things to take course. Sometimes you need to take action. Unfortunately, we, like so many others who face a brain tumor diagnosis, did not have a clue what to do next. We immediately went off running - reading, visiting doctors, researching, praying - each of us played a part. Brain tumors are virtually impossible to fight alone. That is what we are all about - the team effort to finding a cure and helping families until we do.
In May of 2007, we suddenly lost Dennis Roth. His work with Have A Chance, helping so many families in so many different ways still leaves people inspired. Our family - my mom, my wife and kids, my sister and brother - in - law - are determined to continue Have A Chance and help those in need. No one knows what tomorrow will bring, so we are pushing forward today to help others in their fight against brain tumors. We continue to be here to help.
Thank you for your support.
Eric Roth, President
